Volunteer Opportunities

Help us be the change.

At Giving Grace, one of our core beliefs is that relationships and community are essential in breaking cycles -- and we depend heavily on volunteers like you in forming this community. Read below to learn about volunteer opportunities or scroll to the bottom of the page to sign up for one of volunteer events.

Volunteer Position Needs

  • Our Rise with Grace Coaches transform an individual or family’s life by coaching and sharing every-day life with them. Based on the Coach’s gifts and talents, a Coach will be paired with an individual or family and work closely with a Rise with Grace Case Manager. The Coach will encourage, motivate, and walk alongside those we serve by helping them to accomplish the agreed upon goals by the client, the Coach and the Case Manager.

Typically, a Coach is engaged with a family or individual for at least 1 year. In the first 90 days, Coaches communicate with the family or individual on a weekly basis for short-check ins to ensure they are working toward their individualized goals. Goals include but are not limited to housing, employment, and financial stability. As the client progresses with stability and independence, the Coach’s involvement evolves and aligns to best meet the needs of the client. A Coach’s role also introduces clients to a life with Jesus or builds upon a client’s current relationship with God.

Giving Grace provides training and support groups for coaches, along with one-on-one mentoring.

  • If you are someone who is passionate about prayer, we would love for you to be a part of our Prayer Team!  The purpose of this team is to encourage and engage the body of Christ to bring the power and importance of prayer into all areas of Giving Grace.

  • An Outreach Volunteer is someone who has a heart to serve our homeless community and believes in empowerment vs. enablement. These volunteers would attend our Street Outreach events and help us build relationship in the community by engaging with the homeless through serving food, providing hygiene products, and simply having a conversation with a client. An Outreach Volunteer could assist our staff in helping clients obtain their critical documents through our new Street Outreach van. This van needs volunteers who are familiar with technology who can consistently be available to help our clients with the steps to gain these documents. Other Outreach Volunteer opportunities are helping with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks.
